Glowing Skin Makeup Tutorial~❤

안녕~
We've all heard of the dewy 물광 look in Korea but also at the moment, a pearly highlighted sheen face is very popular too!
Especially in this hot weather where a dewy face may look oily! ><
Today I've going to show you how to get a glowing, youthful, highlighted face perfect for everyday & gorgeous in photos.
LOL you can see my makeshift tripod XDㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Normally I just cheat with Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer but I'm going to show you with actually highlighter!
Enjoy!~

The products you will need:-
Moisturiser
A glowing finish BB Cream/Foundation
Concealer
Optional:- Loose powder
Important Highlighter! (powder, cream, liquid - your choice!)
Blusher

Lets start with a clean face
(I've already applied my eye makeup & lip makeup for the sake of not blinding you guys XD)
I have a light break out, dry skin & dark circles ㅠㅠ

Step 1 Skin preparation
Apply moisturiser that fits your skin type.
I'm using Garnier Moisture Match Moisturiser Dry to very dry skin
 This moisturiser I'm using leaves the skin feeling very soft & looking dewy!~ ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Step 2 Face MakeupApply a BB Cream/Foundation that will give your face a glowing/dewy finish
I'm using favourite Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit in shade N02 Light Beige. This BB cream really brightens up my imperfections & leaves my face looking radiant & fresh!~
Read my review on this BB Cream HERE
Half a pump is just enough to cover my whole face!~

I dot the BB cream over my cheek & blended outwards gently~
Derpㅠㅠ
Here you can really see how well it brightened up my face & dark circles! *0*

Step3 Conceal any imperfections
My imperfections are dark circles & some stress spots! I recommend using a creamy concealer to cover acne & dark spots.
I'm using TONYMOLY Baby Doll Pot Concealer in shade Light Beige - Review HERE
First I'm concealing my dark circles:-

Tip:- Applying too much makeup to the eye area can make you look older & even more tired. Use a creamy concealer lightly to eye area to gently fade the dark circle appearances rather than 'paint' it away.
Like so:-
No concealer                                                                              Concealer
Blend gently by patting with ring finger - We use our ring finger because it's the weakest finger & our eye area is delicate so we must be gentle. Also gentle patting will help the concealer adhere to the eyes better.

Difference:-
Looks much better right?

Apply concealer to any blemishes you might have. This concealer I use has great coverage so I only need a little bit on a concealer brush.
For a more natural finish, pat with makeup sponge.
Set with loose powder if you'd like for longlasting, semi-matte finish look.

Step 4 Time for the most important step - Highlighting!~
I chose liquid highlighter because I find it easier to blend with but you can use can type of you like!~
I just use cheap Chit Chat Highlighter
Apply dots/pats of highlighter just under your eyes, like so:-
The KPOP Idol look has  highlighted baby face point, Applying highlighter just under the eyes will enhance & create a round baby face appearance.
Blend by gently patting

Your cheeks should look rounder & more youthful~(○´∀`○)

Step 5 For a slimmer appearance, highlight C-Zone (temples).
Blend by patting
This gives the face more of a slim angle & brings attention to the eyes. Great for cat eyeliner!≧◡≦

Step 6 Highlighting the nose
Apply highlighter to bridge of nose for a taller look~ I love highlighting my nose as it makes my face look dolly & bring attention to middle of my face (ノ*^▽^)ノ
Blend

Step 7 Apply highlighter to philtrum (Cupids bow) for dolly pout
Step 8 Apply highlighter to chin to bring it forward

Step 9 Pick a blusher of your choice, I chose a hot pink from LoveAlpha Summer Gradually Palette~
If you have problem area (acne) sweeping on blusher will enhance that problem more, so to avoid that; gently tap the blush on your cheeks~
Step 10 Draw in your brows however you like~ I draw my brows straight for a more youthful look~
I'm using Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in Grey. Review HERE

Finish off with a lively lipcolour like my Etude House Dear Darling Neon Liptint in Neon Orange.
Review HERE & your done!~~
Glowing, photo-ready skin without the oil!~ (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
I accentuated my aegyo sals for a even more youthful look~
Hope some of you found this helpful & enjoyed it!~~
I've been sporting this look for a while & it makes my skin look radiant under the sunlight!~~ I hope you sport it too~

Lots of love~

  5. Kirsten, you don't need makeup dear! The bb cream was also sufficient to conceal any redness and dark eye circles you have haha. Wonderful tutorial though, and I too love to highlight those areas ^_^

  7. Firstly, you look adorable! Both with and without makeup! <3

I just got here from your ulzzang makeup tutorial and I really really like both posts.
The ulzzang one gave me a lot of ideas for my own tutorials and I totally agree with you on the devy face... it makes my skin look very very oily so I'm glad I found this post > <

Would you like to follow each others? I think we could both learn a lot and get loads of inspiration from each others ^o^
